In India it is also known by the names of ‘krishna’, ‘katuk’, ‘gol mirch’ etc. All types of peppercorns contain oils and when you crack them the oils are released which provide  flavour to the food.

The excess hydrochloric acid secreted helps in preventing these conditions.

– Reports have shown that it’s piperine can lower blood pressure in animals, and similar effects can be expected in human beings. One Slovakian study states that oral administration of piperine can control the increase in blood pressure levels in a human body.

–  It is very beneficial for the people who are trying to lose weight. It contains phytonutrients that cause fat cells to break down and make you lose weight more easily. Moreover, black pepper helps the body absorb nutrients from the food and you get the best of what you eat.

So, overall Black Pepper is tiny in appearance but has large benefits and Ayurveda uses Black Pepper in a large amount for their medicines because it has a large amount of vitamin C, which makes it a good and healthy appetizer.

But everything should be taken in balance.Though it is considered a safe spice to eat but due to its high source of dietary fiber, potassium, iron, and calcium it can cause some stomach related problems like gas trouble, acidity or upset stomach only if eaten too much, so be aware and have it in a proper and balanced way.
